We have been very concerned by the attention drawn to our posts of controversial artists depicting nude and often eroticized prepubescent and underaged children; particularly by the fact that most of the search engine terms used to reach those posts are dubious,to say the least. Thusly, we would like to make it abundantly clear that we are not trying to promote underage nudity or erotica, instead we draw attention to these images as part of our general interest in the controversial and the obscure.
French photographer William Ropp is well-known for the unique style in which he captures the mysterious aspects of human nature. Placing his subjects in absolute darkness during extended exposures, he uses a flashlight to “paint” a magical effect of illumination and shadow in what he calls “the dance of light”.
